PIZZA MARGHERITA

A widespread belief has it that in june 1889, to honor the Queen of Italy, Margherita of Savoy, the chef Raffaele Esposito created the pizza Margherita, where the toppings, tomato,mozzarella and basil, represented the Italian flag.
